Kraken Colossal Signature Cricket Bat

Due to the huge success of the Kraken Colossal Cricket Bats over the past 4 seasons in Grade 1 English Willow, we have brought out a more budget friendly version in Grade 2 English Willow.

Make no mistake, the performance of this beast is quite frightening! And these are only downgraded through minor blemishes of appearance, or slightly wider grains. There are some absolute belters in here.

Oversized Edges - Won't Fit Through the Bat Gauge

The edge size is huge, around 46 to 52mm edges, but with clever balancing and a higher middle, they pick up 2 ounces lighter than the scale weight.

The cricket bat gauge allows for 41mm edges, so none of these fit through a bat gauge. They are all oversized. There is some natural variation between each bat. It's impossible to get each one completely identical as some oversized clefts are bigger than others. Hence why the edge size is from 46mm to 52mm on these.

I repeat: This won't fit through a bat gauge, so for some top levels of cricket it may not be legal. However, I am yet to see someone get told they can not use one.

Slightly Heavier than most Cricket Bats

With more wood in these bats, we have made the decision NOT to concave (or scallop out) any of the back of the bat to reduce weight. We made the decision to keep a big, full profile, and if they end up being a little heavier, then so be it.

When you order, there is an option to choose the weight, please select carefully. Note that you aren't going to get a 2lb7oz bat with 50mm edges... It's just physics.

Most bats will start at around the 2lb12oz mark and head up almost to 3lb.
